Music continues to be an integral part of life at Christ’s Church, where Anglican worship has been offered since 1695, making us one of the oldest Episcopal congregations in the USA. Originally formed as a choir of boys in the late 19th century, followed by the addition of a girls’ choir and adult choir in the 20th, the choral program now boasts four choirs regularly engaged in leading worship. We boast a wide spectrum of choral repertoire, from the Renaissance to the contemporary, which inspires our worship and adds to the richness and dignity of our traditional and contemporary liturgies. In addition, throughout the year the choirs lead extra-liturgical offerings, such as the Solemn Requiem for All Souls, and services of Choral Evensong.
