Choristers

The Christ’s Church Choristers are trained to the highest professional standards, learning to read music at sight, musical theory, vocal production, liturgy, and music history. They sing approximately twice a month, often with the adult choir, as well as leading Sunday and weekday services frequently on their own. The Choristers are treated as professional musicians and are an integral part of the music ministry of Christ’s Church.

In addition to working hard, the life of a chorister is also very rewarding and fun – regular trips, both social and musical, are undertaken each year, and choristers have the opportunity of taking outside exams, international tours (including a trip to the UK in 2015), and CD recordings (in early 2014).

Rehearsals: Thursdays 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM; 1st and 3rd Sundays 9:00 AM for 10:00AM service.

Interested parents and students should contact Ruaraidh Sutherland, our Organist-Choirmaster. It is never too late to join the choir; we are always willing to welcome newcomers.
